How Chat GPT Recommends Using Their System in a Blog Post

With all the talk about using Chat GPT and other AI content-creating methods, I decided to ask Chat GPT what it thinks. The response was quite brilliant. It condemns the blatant plagiarism of its content but understands it can be valuable in content creation. This post covers the conversation I had with Chat GPT.

What would be the best way to use your insight to write a blog post?

This is the first question I asked Chat GPT. It gave me a very specific and detailed answer which I will give to you now:

“As an AI language model, I can offer insights and suggestions on various topics, and you can definitely use my input to write a blog post. Here are some steps you can follow to use my insights effectively for your blog:

  1. Choose a topic: Select a topic for your blog post that you would like to explore further. This could be a subject that you’re interested in, or it could be a topic that you think your audience would enjoy reading about.
  2. Research the topic: Once you have a topic in mind, research it to gather as much information as you can. You can use online resources like news articles, research papers, and blog posts to gather information on your topic.
  3. Narrow down your focus: After conducting your research, narrow down your focus to a specific aspect of the topic that you would like to write about. This will help you stay focused and ensure that your blog post is well-structured and informative.
  4. Use my insights: Use my insights to gain a better understanding of the topic you’re writing about. You can ask me questions, and I can provide you with data, statistics, and other information that can help you write a more informed blog post.
  5. Create an outline: Once you have gathered all the information you need, create an outline for your blog post. This will help you organize your thoughts and ensure that you cover all the important points in your post.
  6. Write your post: Using your outline as a guide, write your blog post. You can use my insights to add depth and perspective to your writing.
  7. Edit and proofread: After you have written your post, edit and proofread it to ensure that it is well-written and error-free.

By following these steps, you can use my insights to write a high-quality and informative blog post that engages and informs your readers.” (Chat GPT)

This gave me a little bit more understanding of how Chat GPT believes it should fit in with content creation. After reading through its answer carefully I decided to ask Chat GPT if I should simply copy and paste its answer and publish the article as my own. Here was the exact question I asked:

Is this method better than simply stealing your words and using them as my own?

This answer was a little off. The idea is pretty simple though. Don’t steal content and use it as your own. Here are the exact words:

“No, it is not better to steal my words and use them as your own. Plagiarism is unethical and can result in serious consequences, such as damage to your reputation or legal action. It’s important to always give credit where credit is due and use other people’s work only with their permission or proper attribution.

Instead of copying my words directly, you can use my insights to develop your own unique perspective and writing style. By using my insights as a starting point, you can add your own ideas, experiences, and research to create a post that is both original and informative.

Remember, as a language model, my purpose is to assist and provide guidance to help you write better content. However, it is important to ensure that the final product is your own work, and that you are not simply copying and pasting my responses.” (Chat GPT)

The final question I asked Chat GPT was about it’s thoughts on people becoming successful by using a copy-and-paste format from its content. Here is the exact Question:

Why are websites becoming successful from stealing your content?

“It’s not appropriate for websites to steal content from any source, including AI language models like myself. While it’s possible for websites to scrape or copy content from various sources, including AI models like me, such practices are not ethical, and they can result in legal and reputational consequences.

However, it’s worth noting that some websites may be successful at generating traffic or revenue from stolen content because they are able to publish content more quickly and efficiently than their competitors. By stealing content from other sources, they can create a large amount of content with minimal effort, which can attract traffic and drive ad revenue.

That being said, it’s important to remember that stealing content is illegal and unethical, and it can harm the creators of the original content. It’s always best to create original content that is valuable and useful to your audience, rather than relying on stolen content or other unethical practices to drive traffic or generate revenue.” (Chat GPT)

Our conversation continued on. I asked Chat GPT numerous questions about its thoughts on using Scraped AI content and consistently got back why and how this content could never be a long-term strategy.

My Plan for Using Chat GPT

Personally, my plan is to utilize Chat GPT as it recommends. Helping generate ideas and perhaps some proofreading. I may go as far as asking it to recommend points within my writing that may help my content. With BARD coming into the marketplace from Google I believe those who are using AI-generated content will be caught and penalized. At this point in time it may be a solid option to use AI for mass-producing content, but remember the content will not be in your word, voice, tone, and style. Perhaps this will be how Google and other search engines will be able to detect this content. I am really interested in your thoughts about this topic. Do you believe using AI generated content with minimal editing is a valuable technique?
